SUMMARY:AD/ASL Performance of “I Wander: A Meditation on Art and Mobility”
DESCRIPTION:As Tolkien famously wrote\, “Not all those who Wander are lost.” TILT Performance Group takes these words to heart in its newest original production “I Wander: A Meditation on Art and Mobility.” I Wander immerses audience members inside a real art studio\, where colorful characters like the muse of sleep\, a haughty art critic\, and the apparition of Vincent Van Gogh converge with many others to explore the question “What does it mean to wander\, anyway?” \nPurchase tickets online or call 512-297-9378. \nThis performance will have ASL interpretation and audio description.

SUMMARY:Audio Described Performance of “The Rover”
DESCRIPTION:In 1677\, poet\, libertine\, and sometime spy for Charles II\, Aphra Behn was the first published professional female playwright in the English language. Her play The Rover\, or the Banish’d Cavaliers was wildly popular in the Court\, but Behn was dismissed as lewd by critics due to her frank depiction of female sexual longing. \nThe Hidden Room presents this rarely-performed delight as a mash-up of 1677 and 1983 – a Restoration/New Romantic proto-feminist sex romp\, complete with swashbuckling sword fights\, forbidden romance\, masked revelers\, and bitchen live music. Pop your ruffled collar and behold Aphra Behn’s The Rover. \nRunning time: 2 hours and 15 minutes including one 10 minute intermission \nPurchase tickets online. Please make a note in the special instructions if you would like to use audio description.
