Make sure your Zoom settings are configured for original sound: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb…)\n\nZoom link will be sent to performers and posted here the day of the show.\nAs always\, we’re open to work in any genre: music\, spoken word\, improv\, skits\, storytelling\, dance\, poems\, prose… Anything you can perform in 3(ish) minutes!\nRead on for community guidelines and accessibility adventure notes!\nCommunity Guidelines: please read the Art Spark Texas code of conduct before Lion & Pirate events: https://www.artsparktx.org/code-of-conduct/\nIf you are reading work\, note that we use content warnings to keep this space safe and welcoming. When possible\, we screen share the words/ lyrics/ poems to each performance so that attendees who need closed captions (CC) get better quality info. Performers are welcome to: screen share their words themselves\, so they can stay on screen OR send an L&P host their words and they’ll do the screen sharing OR paste a link to a document with their words in the chat\, so attendees can decide if they want to see the words or not. If sharing your words ahead of time is not in the cards\, that’s ok\, we’ll do our best to make it work!.Sound quality: We ask all attendees to stay muted when not performing (or cheering). SUMMARY:Elements Dance Class (Inclusive)
DESCRIPTION:Art Spark Dance’s Elements class is a once a month dance class that is open to everyone\, with or without disabilities\, to explore and develop their own movement style.\n\nLed by professional dance educators\, the class offers a welcoming and supportive environment where you can discover the joy of dance. In this class\, we will be studying dance improvisation\, a structured form of movement that is less technically rigid.\n\nImprovisation allows dancers to explore and create in the moment. Movement material will be developed through creative explorations\, including body mapping using levels\, shapes\, and dynamic frameworks and our everyday life topics. The goal is to empower you to find your own language of movement\, embracing your individuality and creativity. No prior knowledge or experience is needed\, everyone is welcome.\n\n\n\nJoin us to move\, connect\, and enjoy dance in a space where everyone is welcomed and valued. The class takes place every 3rd Saturday of the month from 2 to 4 PM at the Rosedale School\, located at 7505 Silvercrest Dr\, Austin\, TX 78757.\n\nThere is no registration required\, and the fee is on a sliding scale from $5 to $20; however\, no one will be turned away for lack of funds.  \n\nFor questions email dance@artsparktx.org or call 512-454-9912
