DESCRIPTION:Elements is once a month all-abilities dance class taking place on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 2-4 pm. It is open to everyone\, with or without disabilities\, to explore and develop their own movement style. Led by professional dance educators\, the class offers a welcoming and supportive environment where you can discover the joy of dance.\n\nIn this class\, we will be studying dance improvisation— a structured form of movement that is less technically rigid. Improvisation allows dancers to explore and create in the moment. Movement material will be developed through creative explorations\, including body mapping using levels\, shapes\, and dynamic frameworks and our everyday life topics.\n\nThe goal is to empower you to find your own language of movement\, embracing your individuality and creativity. Whether you’re new to dance or have years of experience\, everyone is welcome\, and no prior knowledge or experience is needed. Join us to move\, connect\, and enjoy dance in a space where all are valued.\n\nThe class fee is sliding $5-20 but no one is turned away because of lack of funds. No registration needed.

DESCRIPTION:MeetShareDance will take place in Austin from November 11th through the 13th\, 2022. \nMeetShareDance is a small immersive\, participatory international event where dance teachers/choreographers and other participants with and without disabilities exchange their knowledge on inclusive dance. DESCRIPTION:This is your chance to discover how delightfully creative you are! Come play with us as we explore the relationship between the language of words and the language of the body. As we dance the inexpressible\, we will come to know the symbolic language of movement and the cellular wisdom that swims through our bodies. Without judgment or criticism\, we will write our lives\, our dances\, our songs\, and our poetry. Using gentle stretches and movement exercises\, we will open our body’s mind to let our words flow.\n\nPrevious movement and/or writing experience is NOT required.\n\n\nThis class meets every Saturday morning from 10-11 am CT\, September 17th through November 5th\, 2022 at Conley-Guerrero Senior Center at 808 Nile St\, Austin\, TX 78702.
