Women Veterans Moving Forward Through the Arts Virtual Conference


Free virtual women veteran’s conference exploring art, writing, & mindfulness with workshops, keynotes, & community connection.
Join Art Spark Texas for a half-day virtual gathering centered on creativity, reflection, and nervous system support through the arts. This community-focused event brings together experienced facilitators working across art therapy, writing, visual arts, and yoga therapy to offer accessible entry points into creative healing practices.
Through a combination of keynote conversation, hands-on workshops, and a closing grounding exercise, participants will explore how creative expression can support emotional regulation, reduce stress, and build connection.
Art supplies will be provided to all participants who register by April 28.
No prior artistic experience is needed.
ZOOM link for online conference will be provided following registration.

A Recreational Therapist and 21-year Coast Guard veteran, Lorraine shares how art-based practices support service members in reducing intrusive thoughts, increasing positive emotion, and finding grounding through creative flow.

Creative Writing Workshop: “Write Now”
Alison Schoew
A guided writing experience designed to help you see your life through a poetic lens. Participants are invited (but not required) to share their work in a supportive environment.
