About the Festival
Art in the Park is Art Spark Texas’ one-day, fully accessible arts festival centered on children and adults with disabilities.
Each year, students, families, and community groups gather at East Austin’s Fiesta Gardens for a joyful field trip day filled with interactive art activities, ecology exploration, and live performances by musicians with and without disabilities. Led by local artist volunteers and community partners, the festival welcomes a multi-generational audience, features food pop-ups, and remains free and open to the public in a welcoming, inclusive environment.
MUSICIANS & PERFORMERS
The music lineup at Art in the Park is packed with local talent, centering musicians and performers with disabilities. In 2026, we partnered with Circle of Fifths Accessible Sound Institute, showcasing talent from all over central Texas.
Art in the Park also features live performances beyond music- like wheelchair painting from Jonah Dillon and a serpent puppetry performance from Glass Half Full Theatre. Interested in performing in 2027? Email [email protected]

Art Booths
Local artists, arts organizations, and volunteers set up interactive booths at Art in the Park offering free, hands-on creative activities for children and adults with and without disabilities. In addition to art-making, booths may feature educational, ecology-based, and accessible movement activities, and other engaging activities designed for all ages and abilities.
Examples include animation stations, hand-building and wheel throwing demos, screen printing, tie-dye, textile crafts, children’s music stations, face painting, archery, and sensory spaces.
