Love You – Help You. February is the month of love and relationships. Any relationship is a complicated balance of many factors, togetherness vs independence, my needs vs your needs, expectations vs honesty, listening vs speaking. This dance seems to be far more complicated for those of us with disabilities who must choreograph this delicate ballet with overprotective parents, partners, caregivers and even strangers.

We want to hear about your successes and failures with defining and claiming your independence while staying connected to those you love and need.

Our Opening Minds, Opening Doors Speaking Advocates group is free and meets the last Saturday of every month from 1 to 3 PM in Room 161 of the AGE of Central Texas Building.
