Speaking Advocates: Home Ain’t What It Used To Be

March 30, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Dorothy and Toto on dusty country road in Wizard of Oz

Home is where we start, yet it is much more than simply a place. It is the reference point by which we measure how we ourselves have changed, it is how we interpret the changes swirling around us and observe the passage of time. And the more we change, so too does our recollection of the past, our remembrance of home. This month we invite you to share the ways in which your perception of home has shifted over time and how you have changed in the process.

Our Opening Minds, Opening Doors Speaking Advocates group is free and meets the last Saturday of every month from 1-3 PM in Room 130 of the AGE of Central Texas Building. We welcome adults with disabilities who are interested in presenting stories and meeting other speakers. Email Eric Clow to RSVP or learn more.

You can also RSVP, invite friends, and follow our Facebook event page for updates.
