Stand Up for Mental Health Comedy Show
September 11 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Please join us for a Presentation of Stand-Up Comedy debut performances by 7 Austin comics created during the Stand Up for Mental Health 2019 Workshop presented in partnership with Stand-Up Comic and Counselor David Granirer.
Most people think you have to be nuts to do stand-up comedy. However, Vancouver-based, award-winning counselor and stand-up comic David Granirer has teamed up with Art Spark Texas to offer it as a form of therapy. Granirer, who himself has depression, is the founder of Stand Up For Mental Health, a program teaching stand-up comedy to people with mental illness as a way of building confidence and fighting public stigma.
Doors will open at 7 PM, and the show starts at 8 PM.
Price $10 with a 2-item minimum food/or beverage purchase per person at the event. Tickets available at the door. Venue age restrictions 18 and up.
