A New Space for Disability Culture at UT and Inaugural Art Show from Rachel Salcido

Art Spark Texas is honored to partner with the newly established Disability Cultural Center at the University of Texas at Austin for an inaugural solo art exhibit from artist Rachel Salcido, whose vibrant, thoughtful pieces explore themes of identity and borderlands.

The Disability Cultural Center is the first of its kind at the University of Texas at Austin, a space dedicated to disability culture and community. Opening with an art exhibition sets a powerful tone: centering disabled artists and showcasing the vital role of the arts in shaping cultural understanding.

This exhibit is on view until December 12th, throughout the Fall semester - make sure to stop into the The Disability Cultural Center and explore Rachel's vivid work. Interested in showing work at the Disability Cultural Center? Email [email protected]
