Position Summary:

Art Spark Texas is seeking a creative, adaptable, and mission-driven Marketing & Digital Content Coordinator to help expand our visibility, engage audiences, and support organizational growth. This role combines content creation, marketing, social media, and graphics to tell compelling stories about our programs, artists, and community impact.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can translate the organization’s mission: challenging perceptions of how people contribute by creating an arts-inspired, inclusive community of individuals with diverse abilities - into compelling digital experiences.

Position Details:

  • Compensation: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour (Prorated at $24,024 – $26,208 annually)
  • Hours: a flexible part-time schedule equal to 21 hours per week
  • Location: Austin, TX (Initial on-site onboarding, transitioning to a structured hybrid schedule)

Key Responsibilities

Website Content & Digital Communications:

  • Create, edit, and maintain website content and information to ensure accuracy, consistency, and audience engagement.
  • Write compelling copy for program pages, artist features, event promotions, and organizational announcements.
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns and digital communications.

Social Media Strategy & Management:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies that increase audience engagement, awareness, and participation.
  • Create and schedule content across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Engage with followers and help cultivate an active online community.

Graphics & Visual Content:

  • Design marketing materials for digital and print use, including social media graphics, event promotions, flyers, and presentations.
  • Capture photos and short reels that showcase artists, programs, events, and organizational impact.
  • Maintain and organize a digital asset library of media collected during on-site programming days.

Schedule & Milestone-Based Hybrid Path:

We believe in setting our team up for success. This role begins in person to ensure deep alignment with our staff, artists, and diverse programming. Initial in-person onboarding will be followed by a structured hybrid schedule based on role readiness.

Required Qualifications

1–2 years of professional experience in digital marketing, social media management, or content creation.

Strong copywriting, editing, and multimedia storytelling skills.

Proficiency with basic digital design tools (e.g., Canva) and scheduling platforms.

Proven capability to manage tasks independently and respect a 21-hour weekly limit.

Deep alignment with disability advocacy, accessibility, and inclusive arts communities.
