This workshop is designed to encourage movement expressions through improvisation techniques founded upon the free approach to dance and movement pioneered by Barbara Mettler. Participants will be guided through movement explorations to expand movement vocabulary; to sense and feel kinesthetically how his/her/their body moves; and how to bring in his/her/their whole self to the dance. Movement themes will celebrate the natural, authentic dancer within each person and serve to encourage a fully inclusive and participatory creative environment where each individual can contribute to the group experiences.
